What this website does, and does not do, with information.
This website
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind, and its public pages set no cookies. The only outside service it loads is the typeface library that provides its fonts.
Nothing you type into a form on the public pages leaves your browser: the outage report, the contact form, the careers form and the newsletter sign-up do not transmit or store what is entered in them. If you need to reach the station, telephone the office concerned; the numbers are on the contact page.
The Operations Portal
The Operations Portal is for plant staff. Signing in there sets one cookie, for that visit only, so that the status board can be shown; it holds no personal information and expires within hours. Access is logged.
Customer records
The company keeps the records a utility must keep for every meter on the South Coast Loop, on its own systems, and releases them only as the law requires or at the customer's request.
Photographs
The photographs on this website are of the station, the coast and adults who work here. No photographs of children or of school visits appear on this website or in the station's publications.
